WHAT IS CHAIATHON?
Chai-A-Thon is a fun way to raise money so that sick children can go to Camp Simcha / Camp Simcha Special, a summer camp made especially for sick kids.
SOUNDS LIKE FUN, WHAT DO I DO?
There are three ways to be part of Chai-A-Thon this summer.
- If your camp is already planning a Chai-A-Thon this summer, your counselors will choose the activity.
- Some camps don't have an organized Chai-A-Thon day, but use Chai-A-Thon as the camp's Tzedaka project for the summer. If that's so, you get to choose your own Chai-A-Thon activity! Click here to start fundraising online.
- If your camp is not a Chai-A-Thon camp this summer, you can create your own online Chai-A-Thon here.
OK! I JOINED! HOW DO I RAISE MONEY?
Raising money is easy! With your parents' permission, you reach out to your relatives, friends and neighbors. If you've created your own Chai-A-Thon web page, send the link to friends via email and social media (again, with permission!).
HOW CAN I EARN PRIZES?
Each child who raises at least $25* is eligible for a prize. You select prizes from our fantastic prize brochure based on the amount of money you've raised.
If you are participating in Chai-A-Thon through your camp, print out your donations page and submit it with the Chai-A-Thon form on the prize brochure to your counselor or camp director. You camp will do the rest. If you've created your own
Chai-A-Thon (or you miss the camp deadline to submit all the money you've raised) contact us with your prize request.
*Your final prize eligibility is based on how much money you collect, not how much is pledged. If you haven't collected all the money by your camp's deadline, talk to your parents about submitting your forms directly to Chai Lifeline after the summer ends.

WHAT AM I RAISING MONEY FOR?
All the money you raise goes to Chai Lifeline, an international organization that helps children with cancer and other life-threatening or chronic illnesses and their families. Chai Lifeline's programs and services make hospital visits easier, help kids and parents find friendship, and bring joy and hope to their lives. Chai-A-Thon is a special peer program that benefits Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special, the only kosher camp for sick kids and teens. At camp, they can forget about illnesses and have a great time just being a kid again!
