Hi! Thanks so much taking an interest in my Chai-A-Thon effort! You can help me make my summer more meaningful by contributing to my Chai-A-Thon page!
In our family, we have an extra special connection with Chai Lifeline and Camp Simcha-- my uncle Jonah Adelsberg (pictured with me above), was diagnosed with cancer over 20 years ago when he was just 8 years old. Baruch Hashem he is cured now, but I can't even imagine what it was like for him to deal with that at an age younger than I am (11, if you're wondering). My Uncle Jonah had the opportunity to go to the amazing Camp Simcha as a camper, and later on, my mom volunteered as a staff member at Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha Special. They've both told me how special and magical the camp is, and how much Chai Lifeline puts into trying to help these kids forget about their illnesses, at least for a few weeks. Please help me by donating to Chai Lifeline so that they can continue giving an unforgettable summer to so many deserving kids. Thanks in advance! --Yaakov Pianko
