Hi! It's Yosi & Goldie Herman and we want to thank you for checking out our Chai Lifeline Camp Simcha fundraising page.  Both of us go to camp in the summer and we love it.  But when you are a kid who is sick, going to camp is not simple. That's where Camp Simcha comes in...it's a special summer camp for sick children, where they can get the care they need WHILE going to camp.  For two weeks in the summer, they get to forget about being sick and focus on just being kids.  We are trying to raise $1500 to help more kids be able to go to Camp Simcha.  Will you help us reach our goal?

About Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special
Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special is a medically supervised overnight camp for children and teens living with cancer or other blood disorders.  Camp Simcha Special is a medically supervised overnight camp for children with chronic illnesses and disabilities.  In many ways, Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special are like every other sleep-away camp with sports, swimming, boating, arts and crafts and crafts workshops. In some important ways, though, Camp Simcha/Camp Simcha Special is very different from other camps. Every building and facility is handicapped accessible to assure that every child can participate. Campers play adaptive sports and at Camp Simcha they adapt other activities to foster inclusion. Camp Simcha’s medical team, which consists of pediatric oncologists, nurses, therapists, EMTs, and a pharmacist are all there to ensure kids health and safety.  At Camp Simcha, each camper has his or her own trained counselor to make sure that every minute of camp is extra fun. Camp Simcha is totally free for kids to attend. All of their needs (including transportation to and from camp) are taken care of and that's why your donation matters so much.
